The Tri-County Springs Promise:

1. I will use less fertilizer, no fertilizer or slow-release fertilizer on my lawn.

2. I will consider having my septic tank inspected & pumped every five years.

3. I will fill out IFAS Florida Yards and Neighborhoods Landscape self evaluation checklist and consider having a certified Nature Coast Master Gardener do a free on-site evaluation of my property.

Your three part promise will help protect the Suwannee River and it's springs from damaging nitrates. Your $50.00 contribution seals your promise and will be used to conduct water projects here in our area and in poor developing countries. Chiefland, Cross City and Trenton Rotary clubs will conduct river and sinkhole cleanup projects and promote educational activities aimed at increasing awareness and promoting best management practices for homeowners in the tri-county area. One half of the funds collected will be used along with matching grants from Rotary International to build water-wells or bio-sand filters for a village in a developing country. Each water well will provide clean drinking water to approximately 300 people.
